The Neodem teamy delivered the first part of a two part Data Science training workshop at NHS England in Leeds. The workshop aimed to up-skill analysts across the NHS, providing a two day, intensive introduction to data science concepts.
The course focused on how you can “do” data science without advanced programming skills. We used software such as Orange and SPSS Data Modeller to provide the fundamental conceptual and practical knowledge, so participants could apply a data science approach to their own work.
Many thanks to both Jim Hatton and Glen Howard (NUHT) for helping to make these events happen as part of the NHS analyst training programme. For evidence of the impact of this work see this report.
